Business tax accounting/auditing experience is a technical skill that has applicability when assessing commercial credit risk, a company's financial health, and cash flow. Ideal candidates have a broad base of knowledge in the areas of business financial statement preparation/auditing and enjoy working with different types of businesses to add value to the operation.

Our Loan Review group works in a dynamic team setting to assess the overall risk in our commercial credit portfolios. Analysts use critical thinking, financial analysis, and technical skills to develop a sound foundation of credit knowledge. Each analyst works closely with both market lenders and bank management to identify specific risks in individual loans and credit relationships.

A Loan Review CPA works closely with commercial lenders and the managers of commercial lending departments, provides guidance to less experienced staff, and assists in the review of credit relationships. The candidate works closely with department leadership and the company's Chief Credit Officer to continually assess credit risk and assist with special credit projects at the direction of company leadership.

Note: The preferred work location for this position is Jefferson City or Columbia, MO, but flexible work location will be considered.

Professional Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Minimum of three years in a tax preparation or auditing role preferred.

Previous banking experience desired, but not required

Technical writing skills

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Good organizational and analytical skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
