In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients
and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building
deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St.
Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help
U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We
continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual
investors.--- Timely and accurately manage the firm's client retail
order flow on individually traded securities
(Stocks/ETFs/Bonds/CDs) in both principal and agency capacities up
to specified order and aggregate limits (moderate levels)
--- Manage individually traded securities (Stocks/ETFs/Bonds/CDs)
flows across multiple account types, including Brokerage,
Investment Advisory, Trust, and UMA - supporting the development of
these programs and their impact on the product line
--- Advanced ability to manage firm trading capital for both
individual security transactions and at the portfolio level
(example, net positioning, ETF rebalances) up to moderate
limits
--- Improve the suite of individually traded securities that are
available for purchase, either from firm inventory or the market
more broadly, in accordance with firm guidance
--- Advanced ability to identify and source liquidity for
individual securities (Stocks/ETFs/Bonds/CDs) across a spectrum of
liquidity profiles and market conditions
---Advanced ability to deploy risk management techniques in all 3
facets of the role consistent with the scope of responsibility,
including trading, systems, and regulatory risks
--- Advanced ability to evaluate and analyze data by applying
insights to trading related decisions through coding/reporting
tools
--- Advanced ability to perform all daily trading-related
responsibilities, including pricing evaluation, relative value, key
ratios, and more
--- Advanced demonstration of market structure, capital markets
analytics, economic variables, and trading strategies
--- Advanced ability to understand, evaluate and appropriately
respond to changing market conditions and industry trends
--- Improve best execution (for example, fixed income E/Q
equivalent) and compliance with all firm and industry regulatory
requirements
--- Advanced application of internal and external trading systems
and related tools, including testing, troubleshooting, and
development where appropriate
--- Improve client service excellence delivery, identifying trends
and best practices accordingly, in alignment with human centered
complete wealth management
--- Improve operational excellence initiatives to scale the
quantity and quality of individual security workflows
--- Build the depth & breadth of external networks across dealers
and vendors that help source supply, manage liquidity, generate
market insights, and more
--- Build the depth and breadth of internal networks across key
stakeholders to support trading floor initiatives and align with
broader firm efforts
--- Provide general training and guidance to other traders,
including product, service, systems, and regulatory insights, on
the team
This position is a hybrid role and based out of our St. Louis, MO

--- B.A./B.S. degree in business, economics, finance, or
quantitative related field
--- Successful completion of Trader I responsibilities or
equivalent industry experience
--- 3+ years of financial service experience required, capital
markets preferred
--- CFP, MBA, CFA, CPA or working towards designation(s)
preferred
--- Series 7 and 63/66 required; additional desk specific licenses
are needed within 6 months (52, 55/57, CSI)
Problem Solving
--- Successful demonstration of Trader I problem solving techniques
with an advanced level of authority, complexity, and risk
--- Considers new, innovative solutions to address routine and
non-routine problems with a multi-faceted approach
Decision Making
--- Trading related decisions would be made with limited,
exceptions-based oversight, including moderate capital commitments
when appropriate
--- There is a medium degree of risk based on the potential for
moderate financial loss and regulatory implications for the
firm/trader
