JOB DESCRIPTIONDEPOSIT & CASH APPLICATION SPECIALISTREPORTS TO: ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER5/9/2023Responsible for all aspects of the cash management function for the effective collection of revenues and payment of obligations for multiple companies. Responsible for ensuring designated cash processing, reconciliation and reporting functions are completed in a timely manner while in compliance with policy and procedures.JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Directs cash management operations to include daily cash administration, management of current accounts and bank relations.Post invoice payments for inventory product, rental properties, and non-inventory transactions.Reviews and drives improvements in cash management, ensuring financial obligations are met in accordance with Company policies and procedures.Continually evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and controls to maximize departmental productivity and minimize errors.Completes all cash management set-up documentation for new and existing department processes; prepares correspondence and proposals directed to and for cash management.Timely reconciles cash application and disbursements.Monitors cash transactions to ensure that they reconcile to the bank accounts and any unusual items or discrepancies are investigated.Forecasts, monitors and tracks cash flow (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.).Prepares cash flow reports, and identifies and evaluates variances.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERTISEPreferably a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.Familiarity with bank cash management systems.3 - 5 years of experience in high volume transaction Accounts Receivable company.Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate and negotiate with a variety of internal and external customers, employees, and managers.Strong managerial, planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills.Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
