We seek a **Partner** in our Tax Practice (https://www.cbh.com/services/tax/) who will be responsible for growing and serving the tax aspects of our Alternative Investment Funds (https://www.cbh.com/industries/private-equity/) practice. This highly visible position offers excellent training, development, and professional growth potential. Relocation assistance may be offered.
You'll be responsible for leading and building a team that provides tax services focused on an array of alternative investment products, with a variety of clients including: private equity, private credit, hedge funds, fund of funds, and venture capital. You will have ultimate responsibility for complex tax returns related to alternative investments for both national and foreign entities. Technical expertise in partnership taxation and taxation of financial instruments is required.
You will collaborate closely with peers in the audit and advisory practice segments to drive overall growth of this key industry initiative. To continue our success, we're looking for a partner who will contribute to expanding the practice by using their leadership skill to set the direction and vision for the team while leveraging their professional network presence and engaging in business development opportunities with other firm leaders. Previous experience in serving alternative investment clients is a must and preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate advancement of leadership skills, responsibilities, and ability to build a collaborative team. _Travel expectations are limited in nature._
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors degree in accounting. Masters preferred.
+ Must be CPA certified and have an active CPA license.
+ 12+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4, large national, or regional accounting firm with a focus on providing tax compliance and consulting services to clients in the alternative investment sector.
+ Technical expertise in investment partnership tax, including preparation of allocation schedules, Schedules K-1, Forms 1065 and related other related schedules (e.g. performance waterfalls, special allocations, etc.)
+ Experience with growing a practice through expansion of services to existing clients and obtaining new clients.
+ Prior experience utilizing content marketing, social media, and other means to demonstrate and share Industry thought leadership, leading to new business opportunities, is desired
+ Exceptional client service skills leading to the highest quality of execution and delivery of client engagements
+ Strong leadership and associate development skills

+ Excellent problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
