The Position: We're looking for a General Manager for our hotel.
This opportunity combines working for this hometown business with
the benefit of working for a larger management company with all of
its support and assistance to managing the hotel. The pay range

The Responsibilities: As the top spot to the property leadership
team, the General Manager is responsible for the overall operation
of the property. They will report directly to a Director of
Operations and be responsible to achieve the budgeted goals of the
property but do so with the highest amount of integrity and sound
leadership.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : Manages and participates in the guest
service and housekeeping function to ensure delivery of superior
guest service. Take appropriate and corrective action to resolve
guest complaints.
Ensures that product quality standards are met in all areas of the
hotel as it relates to the appearance, levels of maintenance and
cleanliness; establishes and maintains preventive maintenance
program to protect the physical assets of the hotel.
Ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and
hotel assets by implementing and maintaining loss prevention and
safety policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain a proactive human resources function to
enhance and ensure employee recruiting, motivation, training, and
development. Administrates wages and benefits in compliance with
company policies, procedures, and established labor
regulations.
Either hires, discharges, orientates, trains, and performs
performance evaluations for all employees or works with Assistant
in assuring those duties are completed.
Conducts timely employee meetings to ensure all are aware of
current activities, events, local and national sales/marketing
programs; to establish effective two-way communication systems
which cross departmental lines and provide feedback from the
company and top management.
Develops short and long term financial and operational plans for
the hotel which support the overall objective of the corporation.
Prepares the annual hotel budget.
Generates, manages, and monitors the daily and monthly preparation
of the hotel's financial reports. Evaluates performance through
monthly projections and analysis of data and initiates appropriate
and corrective actions.
Prepares the capital replacement plan to ensure product quality and
competitiveness in compliance with corporation and franchise.
Forward leads to the contracted Sales Manager as soon as possible
whether through hotel guest stays, community meetings, and/or
parking lot shops.
Maximizes room revenues by; anticipating and planning for market
shifts; participating in appropriate and local and national
sales/marketing programs/efforts; developing strategic marketing
prospects and alliances and developing annual marketing plan.
Measures the effectiveness of all marketing efforts and yield
management to maximize the number of market segments reached and to
diversify the sources of revenues.
Develops and maintains rapport with key community, hospitality and
travel related contacts to ensure viable presence in the local
business community.
Makes sales calls if assigned.
Ensures the daily quality and quantity, safety, punctuality,
cleanliness, appearance, and guest satisfaction of the hotel's
continental breakfast and function space.
Manages in compliance with company and brand policies/procedures
and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Keeps supervisors and management company aware of all problems or
unusual matters of significance, so prompt, corrective action is
accomplished when appropriate.
And any other duties assigned to assist, maintain, and protect the
hotel asset. T
