We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.The Wealth Management Advice and Solutions (WMAS) Risk Management function is a first line risk capability responsible for the execution of the risk management framework within WMAS business with an expanded focus on existing and enhanced advice, planning, products, and services. The Senior Risk Manager will join the Wealth Management Advice and Solutions Risk Management department and will be responsible for executing capabilities within WMAS to better understand, effectively manage and communicate the risk profile of the division. This includes the execution of the firm's risk management framework, in adherence to Enterprise risk standards by identifying, measuring, responding to and reporting on the operational risks of WMAS's business.

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to a team that leads risk management capabilities in accordance with the firm's risk management framework and serve as trusted risk manager and partner who is seen as providing value and risk coverage to WMAS functional capabilities by:

  • Actively identifying, quantifying, and reporting risk across WMAS highlighting key risks to enable risk-based decisions, actions by WMAS business leadershipProvide insights to enhance controls in partnership with WMAS business segment stakeholdersSupport WMAS business segment stakeholders when conducting risk assessments in accordance with enterprise risk frameworksFoster effective partnerships across the firm with risk subject matter experts to implement risk programs commensurate with the risk profile, i.e. Digital Risk, Operational Risk, Strategic Risk, Legal and Compliance, etc.Participate in monthly forums with WMAS business stakeholders to ensure ongoing risk coverage and oversightParticipate and lead the evaluation risks, action plans, control design effectiveness and trends in other relevant risk indicators, including external risk events and emerging risks with owners of risk
  • Identify opportunities and execute plans to mature the 4 Pillars of the WMAS risk management framework - Risk Identification, Risk Measurement, Risk Response, Risk Insights
  • Continue to develop and share deep knowledge and understanding of broader industry, risk management best practices and discipline and emerging risks to the financial services industry
  • Champion a strong risk culture for the division via elevating the risk knowledge base of associates and leaders of the division and deploying risk management best practices across the division
  • Participate in divisional representation to consult on, co-create, execute and align on key ERM initiatives
    • Bachelor's degree requiredSeries 7 required or attainable within twelve months of hire 6+ years risk management, internal controls, internal audit, or comparable experience with comprehensive knowledge of risk management
    • Relevant or comparable industry experience preferred, such as financial services, wealth management, asset management, investment products, etc.
    • Experience in building relationships and networks, at varying levels in the organizationStrong analytical, problem-solving and systems thinking skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor communication based on the audience

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
