We are looking for a driven and curiousclient-focusedDesign Build Project Manager /Construction Manager to grow with our team.Youll have the chance to lead large water / wastewater projects based on the West coast and throughout the United States. These exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects will utilize your Project and Construction Management focus to help ensure safe and efficient delivery.Youll work with the best Design-Builders in the business, as well as gain experience working closely with the client and project subcontractors. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.Your role will be to coordinate with engineering and subcontractors throughout pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and closeout. Following the project scope, schedules and budgets, you will ensure the project remains on task. Your involvement from pre-bid and pre-construction meetings utilizing your experience with construction contract negotiation and administration while working with various stakeholders ensures that your skills are fully utilized. Client presentations, running weekly construction meetings, and applying critical thinking skills to resolve problems out in the field on the project are tasks associated with this role.Guiding the project team is what you do best. Serving as the representative for Jacobs at our project site, your responsibilities not only cross all aspects of project completion and delivery, but also include staff engagement, coaching and mentoring as well. Technically, your skill set is up to the highest standards and that reflects in your ownership of the project, inspiring you to offer the best to our clients.You will interface directly with the Design Build Operations Manager, engineering leadership, preconstruction managers along with the project staff comprised of project engineers, project controls, resident engineering, superintendents, and quality control. You will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery from engineering through construction and on to commissioning.Specific duties include the following:

  • Implementation of safety program on-site
  • Lead, coach, and mentor on-site staff
  • Identifying risks and risk mitigation strategies
  • Developing and endorsing construction team staffing and budgets
  • Participation in reviews during the preconstruction phase of the project
  • Primary interface with the client
  • Developing procurement and packaging approach for the project through buy-out
  • Responsible for financial performance of the project including timely invoicing to the client and payment of subcontractors
  • Producing forecasts and revenue plans coordinating with financial managers and project controls staff
  • Manage permitting compliance with regulatory agencies and project stakeholdersBring your curiosity, passion for innovation, and talent for multi-tasking in afast-paced environment. At least 15 years of progressing management experience in construction and administration of large multimillion-dollar projects in water / wastewater.
