Medical Equipment TechnicianMedical Equipment Technicians are responsible for ensuring safe delivery, providing setup, and education in usage of home medical equipment for our customers. Setup is done in their home, long-term care setting, clinic or any location deemed necessary to service patients.Job Duties:Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulationsComply with all applicable company policies and proceduresEducate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home settingSafely drive and maintain company vehicleReport equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and proceduresDevelop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the companyAssume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control and hazardous materials handling.Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAACompletes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as requiredOther duties as assigned.Requirements:Minimum Job Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalencyValid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residencePhysical Demands and Work Environment:Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 85 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 160 poundsMust be able to stretch, bend, stoop and crouch and perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment and suppliesAdaptHealth is an equal opportunity employer and does not unlawfully discriminate against employees or applicants for employment on the basis of an individual's race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable law.
