Job Description:

STANDARDS AND EXPECTATIONS:
Demonstrates competency in caring for obstetrical patients in all phases of the antepartum and intrapartum periods.
Demonstrates competency in caring for the normal newborn.
Demonstrates competency in caring for neonates requiring risk intervention, Level 2 care, and stabilization for transport.
Demonstrates competency in caring for the postpartum patient.
Consistently makes appropriate assessments regarding the laboring patient.
Consistently interprets electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) patterns and makes appropriate decisions regarding interventions.

*NRP CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF 6 MONTHS EMPLOYMENT.
*COMPLETION OF EFM COURSE IS REQUIRED WITHIN SIX MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT.
