FCS Financial is looking for a dynamic individual that has the ability and desire to lead a team of loan officers to help them meet their goals and manage their portfolios. The Vice President, Team Leader Traditional & Part-time Farmers provides coaching, guidance, direction, and feedback to their team. They are also responsible for assisting in the delivering products and related services that meet the needs of our member owners and prospective customers of FCS Financial. This Team Leader position also motivates and leads a team of loan officers in multiple office locations to achieve portfolio growth, profitability, credit quality, and increased market shares.A bachelor's degree in business, agriculture or related field; five years of experience as a loan officer or closely related field; -and -three years of supervisory experience is desired.FCS Financial's Central Missouri Office Locations include the following: Columbia, Harrisonville, Jefferson City, Nevada, O'Fallon, Sedalia. -A combination of a remote and in office work arrangements will be considered as long as the candidate lives within FCS Financial's Loan Servicing Area.This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.This position is open until filled.Department: Marketplace Services Reports To: Senior Vice President, Traditional and Part-Time FarmersSupervises: Loan OfficersResponsibilities/DutiesJob Functions* Percentage Job Functions 60% Leadership and Staff Development

  • Provides input on staff selection, promotion decisions and chattel/collateral authority level updates
  • Determines division of responsibilities and provides work guidance and direction
  • Recommends and implements performance standards
  • Determines, develops and presents training curriculums for staff
  • Monitors team loan portfolios for credit quality, credit administration, proper risk identification, and delinquencies
  • Completes performance reviews on direct reports.
  • Assist staff in developing and implementing individual development plans
  • Monitor development and identify training opportunities to fulfill IDP
  • Identify employees for special projects, leadership development and succession planning and develop training and tools to promote employee 20% Marketing and Sales Development
    • Develops sales, marketing, and customer education programs to remain competitive in the marketplace and increase market share
    • Work with Sales & Marketing to identify and manage applicable Sales Campaigns to drive growth and profitability 20% Customer Service
      • Collaborates with credit department and loan officers to determine acceptable resolutions to customer requests
      • Coordinates with customer service team leaders to facilitate teamwork between loan officers and customer support teams to ensure that customer needs are met in a timely and accurate manner when handling loan sales, customer expectations, servicing, and processing n/a Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization. * Essential Functions for this position consist of all items listed under any category that make up 5% or more of the job duties.         • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business or a related field
        • 5 years of experience as a loan officer or in a closely related field
        • 3 years supervisory experience or equivalent experience
        • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

          • Expert knowledge of the agricultural industry
          • Expert knowledge of negotiating tactics
          • Expert knowledge of marketing strategies
          • Expert knowledge of agricultural production and loan products
          • General knowledge of credit underwriting and analysis
          • Skill in reasoning persuasively to sell or promote FCS Financial's products and services
          • Skill in negotiating agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organization
          • Skill in establishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of internal and external organizations and individuals to advance the organization's interests and increase personal efficacy
          • Skill in listening and conveying awareness of a customer's problem or issue to find resolution
          • Oral and written communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences
          • Skill in using Microsoft technologies including e-mail, word and spreadsheet processing
          • Skill in communicating objectives and delegating responsibility
