Edward Jones is looking for an Open Systems technical consultant who will utilize technical skills and provide technical leadership for team members by interacting with vendors, enhancing applications, software, and tools and providing support to our proprietary quoting and market research systems. Our systems are key to Edward Jones's daily business operations as they allow our advisors and clients to view and quote their portfolio of investments including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds as well as review market news. Our team provides solutions that allow our clients to access investment information. They solve complex issues and collaborate with other areas to generate solutions and address problems.

Team Overview
The cornerstone of the Edward Jones Client experience is the relationship between the client and the branch team. A key enabler of the relationship is the client's digital experience; clients want to engage and connect with their branch teams online. As a Technical Consultant on the Digital Client Experience product team, you'll collaborate with our team to deliver an innovative and unique client experience across iOS, Android, and traditional desktop platforms.

You'll join an experienced product team that just completed a full re-build of our client-facing applications using Angular, Swift, Kotlin, REST, Java, Spring Boot, Docker & Kubernetes, Mongo DB, GitHub, and cloud-ready architecture.

What You'll Do:

• Considered a subject matter expert in a digital discipline (business solutions, systems development, infrastructure area, planning, security) and have experience across multiple platforms in an area or multiple technologies in a layer (network, computing, operating systems, data, application infrastructure, appliances, business solutions, security, systems management).
• Actively mentor and train other associates in their areas of expertise.
• Provide direction as to the effective use of technology within the enterprise architecture.
• Provide leadership related to technical aspects of tools, methodologies, best practices and processes, and standards that apply to their technical area of expertise.
• Research technical improvements and takes the initiative to communicate/implement solutions.
• Participates and represents the area in cross-functional groups.
• Communicates issues and problem resolutions with all affected stakeholders, business areas and vendors.
• Researches requirements to determine system feasibility, costs, benefits, or functional requirements.What You'll NeedMinimum of 7 years of experience directly related to Java development
  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Engineering preferred or related work experience.Java,J2EE, RESTMicro-Services, Spring, JavaScript, Jenkins, JMS/MQ, and JPA. The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
