About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software
Engineer... Enterprise Database Management (EDM) builds and manages
a large consolidation environment for database hosting. This
position is for a Principal Engineer (Software Engineer) in a
senior level technical role as an individual and/or team
contributor for complex software, automation, coding practices and
tooling solutions related to database platforms. The Principal
Engineer will utilize a thorough understanding of emerging
technology, tools, and existing patterns to design and deploy next
generation database and automation capabilities which will enable
or be consumed by Wells Fargo Customers and Applications. The
successful candidate must be comfortable working on multiple
dynamic projects simultaneously, collaborating with database and
software engineers, database architects, software vendors, product
owners, application teams, information security teams, and
leadership at all levels of the organization. - The person filling
this position must be able to: Collaboratively lead the solutioning
with an Agile, hands-on engineering mindset, with relentless focus
on quality, scalability, performance, and timely delivery Provide
thought leadership, technology guidance, standards decisions, and
driving technology modernization throughout the enterprise Works
closely with existing software engineers, application teams,
software vendors, leadership teams and database development staff
to design and deploy solutions for the enterprise Works closely
with database engineering teams to understand and document
requirements using an Agile methodology and toolsets Ability to
provide software patterns and solutions as well as troubleshoot
code related problems Provide leadership through influence and
technical expertise to help strengthen the relationships between
EDM and Customer architecture and engineering teams and leadership,
and ultimately enable the team's effectiveness in achieving the
team's and Technology's overall goals Provide guidance to the
application development teams through execution to modernize their
applications, including coaching, mentoring, and upskilling
practices Collaborate with architecture team members to help define
the Technology strategy Required Qualifications: 5+ years of
Software Engineering experience, specifically with web
applications/microservices 5+ years of experience with GUI/CLI
development tools 5+ years of API development, including REST
and/or microservices 5+ years of experience with Python scripting
language 5+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5+
years experience with OpenAPI (OAS) and Swagger Desired
Qualifications: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal
communication skills Knowledge and understanding of relational
database architecture, and infrastructure concepts Ability to
provide strong technical leadership, work effectively, as well as
independently, in a team environment Good analytical skills with
high attention to detail and accuracy Translating requirements into
code for new or existing solutions and projects Must be able to
write highly functional and performant code in a structured manner
that can be applied to multiple domains. Successful applicant will
help enhance, design, and deliver application frameworks and
specific functionality around database technologies and products
(Relational and Non Relational) Create thorough designs taking in
consideration functional and non-functional requirements (security,
speed, auditability, ease to maintain) that integrate well into
existing architectures Strong understanding of object-oriented
programming Experience with ServiceNow or Remedy products
Outstanding communication skills as required Perform in the high
level technical and analytics role as an individual contributor
developing software for the various Wells Fargo Line of Business
Customers Work directly with business analysts, customers, vendors,
senior leaders, and technical engineers to understand business and
functional specifications Perform high quality thorough unit
testing and documentation of development activities Job
