energy to join us. Summary of Role: The Residential Solar Civil EIT
will work on a team of engineers and designers to prepare, review,
and design residential PV and energy storage projects. This
position relies on an understanding and experience in residential
wood framing systems and design specifications. The ideal candidate
is detail orientated and able to manage a large volume of work in a
remote work setting. The Residential Solar Civil EIT will report to
the PE Civil Engineering manager. Essential Duties &
Responsibilities: + Work under the supervision of a Civil PE
Engineer to perform structural engineering analysis and
calculations for PV systems designs on residential rooftops and
ground-mounted systems + Design and develop engineering details
using AutoCAD + Provide structural engineering support to PE Team
and PV Design team + Assist in the continued development of
SunPower's engineering standard operating procedures, product
library, standard details, notes, and specifications for service
markets throughout the United States Required Qualifications: +
B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering with experience in wood
structures and design + EIT (Engineer in Training) Certification +
Knowledgeable with structural code references, including IBC, IRC,
CBC, IEBC, NDS, ASCE 7, etc. + Strong written and verbal
communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications: + PV System Design or Engineering
experience Physical Demands and Working Conditions: + Able to work
upright and stationary and/or standing for working hours + Able to
communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with
diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable method
+ Able to position and move objects up to 10 pounds + Able to use
and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
+ Day to day work is completed in the office or remotely at
personal computer M-F, first shift hours Don't meet every single
