Job Description:

You will be responsible for leading the design and development of integration solutions related to information technology operations, business processes, security, and data integrity within the Matco Tools technology portfolio. **WHAT YOU WILL DO** + Collaborate in a constructive manner with team members and technical and non-technical business partners. + Design and implement software features thinking upfront in terms of efficiency, scalability, and stability. + Lead engineers, providing guidance, feedback, code reviews, and technical mentorship. + Lead design reviews with peers and partners to present/decide among available technologies or solutions. + Architect and lead building of scalable, cloud native applications on Azure or similar cloud platform using core developer services such as serverless compute functions and API gateways. + Design integrations to connect multiple enterprise systems and applications in a wide variety of areas such as payment processing, billing, marketing automation, CRM, identity, analytics, and e-commerce. + Assist with migrating legacy applications to modern architectures. + Triage production issues: debugging/tracking and resolving them by analyzing the source of the problem. + Identify areas of improvement in our application ecosystem and patterns of repeated problems proposing solutions that can be applied globally. + Elaborate and explain execution plans to technical and non-technical audiences. + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline, or professional work experience + Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and presentation skills + Experience designing and implementing mid-size to large scale business applications + Experience in designing and developing applications on different cloud platforms (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS) + 7+ years' experience in software development + Experience in performance tuning, testing, and diagnosis of cloud integrations + Experience with deployment and release management processes + Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels + Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively contribute to a team environment + Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills + Experience within a fast-paced software application delivery and product launch environment + Technical expertise with: + Java, JVM internals (memory management, garbage collection, JIT, etc) + Experience writing RESTful APIs (API versioning, documentation, and security) + Containerization + SQL & database modeling + Experience with Azure and/or GCP + Experience designing back-end distributed systems for high availability, high throughput, and low latency + Application security mechanisms + Expert experience in designing and developing complex software systems.
