Job Description:

Maintenance Worker AD The Housing Authority of the City of Jefferson is accepting applications for a Skilled Maintenance Worker. Position requires knowledge of general and preventative maintenance, with knowledge and skill of other trades a plus. Applicants must be able to deal effectively with residents of the housing community and their guests. Able to work outdoors in the Heat or Cold and routinely carry varying weights up to 50 lbs. Ability to work independently or with other staff, emergency on-call rotation, computer and inventory skills for data entry of work orders and materials. Applicants must live within 25-miles of Jefferson City, and be acceptable to our automobile insurance carrier. Background check and drug testing required. Salary is based on experience, additional compensation for knowledge of boiler, cooling towers, advanced HVAC, or plumbing skills. Starting pay is $31,200 with paid overtime and a generous benefits package including retirement, health and dental insurance, 3-weeks vacation & sick leave, life insurance, retirement plans, 13 paid holidays, and training with tuition reimbursement.
